ELM CITY QUILTERS GUILD, FREDERICTON, N.B.
October 1, 2025
October brings us brightly coloured leaves, cooler temperatures and a visit from the New Brunswick Canadian Quilters Association rep, Tabitha Robinson. Tabitha filled us in on the Association and advised the next big show is in Winnipeg for 2026.
Keeping with our 30th Anniversary, some of our members who joined between 1995 to 2000 presented quilts they did during this period.
And as usual, this was followed by our Show & Tell which once again displayed the incredible talents of the Elm City members.
Anniversary Quilts:
Starting our display of quilts from this month's featured 1995-2000 group is one by Elaine S. Elaine joined in 1996. She started with a course, one inch squares and then hand quilted it too.
Diane K. joined in 1999. She didn't do this sampler with the Guild but did note that it took a long time to finish.
Liz R. and Allison H. joined in 1999. They made these two scrap quilts by joining in on a work day.

Lucille P. was inspired by another Guild member back in 1997. Lucille made "Corn & Beans" and hand quilted it herself. |
Lucille also made this wall hanging that was a group challenge.
Susan Mayo joined in 1997. This is a reversible Quilt as You Go that Susan did as a course with our own Christine B. Following is the other side of Susan's quilt.
Susan also took a Ricky Tims Convergence course presented by Gwenda M.
And Susan also used wool on this runner
Doris K. was our final Anniversary presenter this evening. Doris made this sampler which she hand quilted.
SHOW & TELL
June G. made a pillow from her free motion thread painting - a course taught by Lucille P.
Janet S. combined her love of houses with her love of flowers. Her own pattern.
Janet also presented a batik quilt she keeps on her sofa.
Elaine S. made this one at a retreat last weekend from a 3 yard quilt pattern.
Kate T. presented her Birds of Paradise - as a new member this is her first showing to us.
Joyce N. used a thrift shop find to make a table runner.
And then Joyce blew us away with a book she made herself - pages and pages of neat stuff! See the following. Photos don't do it justice.
