February 2015 Guild Meeting

Our meeting this month was a Valentine Social Tea. We had a quick business meeting, a social time with tea and finger foods. Followed by Show and Tell.

January Workday

We had a great day and quite a few of our members took part in the fabric exchange. The rest of us worked on a variety of our own projects.

Oh My, decisions, decisions so many fabrics to choose from

Look at all the fabrics to choose. Can't wait to see the quilts made from these.

What a beautiful quilt. Joyce has taken one large donated quit top and has created two tops at the required size for Victoria Quilts.

Pat and Joyce certainly look like they are having a good laugh.

Charlotte showing her knitted mats. she has knit them using long narrow strips of scrap fabric. How unique they are. Charlotte will take any scraps of narrow strips if you have them.

January 7th Meeting

Even the bitter cold did not keep our members home. We bundled up and attended regardless of what Old Man Winter was dishing out. Our meeting was very informative. Gwenda Mattinson and her husband Eugene gave a talk on Long Arm Quilting and how to prepare your quilt for your long arm quilter.

2015 is off to a good productive start. My New Year's resolution is to work on my PHD (projects half done) and so far I have one finished and working on number two.

December 2014 Workday

The last workday of the year was a wonderful social and productive day. Some of our members made table toppers taught to us by Joy. The creative fabric choices really made each topper look different and so beautiful. We enjoyed a lunch of rolls, cold cuts, cheese, vegetables etc. and Caesar  salad prepared for us by Dorothy and Wendy.

Christmas Dinner December 03, 2014

A very delicious Christmas dinner was prepared and served to our members by the Gibson Memorial United Church congregation volunteers. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and are very grateful to the church for all they do for our guild. Thank you!

Prior to dinner being served Mulled Cider was served and some social time was had by all who attended. Our program committee really go all out for us and it is very much appreciated. Thank you!
