For the Elm City Quilter's Guild in Fredericton, NB, the October meeting brought us multiple things:

-A presentation of Victoria's Quilts complete with a chance to buy tickets on some stunning quilts

-A brief history of our guild

-Lyn previewed our soon to start "Sew Along" which will give us the opportunity to learn and practice multiple quilting skills.

-A sewing day for Saturday, October 26 - sew your own and the start of the Sew Along

Victoria's Quilts brought three beautiful quilts on which they sold tickets - all part of their fund raiser

This year's Sew Along is starting this month.  Members can contact Lyn via email if they wish to join

Gretchen J. showed us her "Hanky Panky" quilt made from her leftover pieces of kids dresses donated to her

Gretchen also brought her "Ditched" quilt made from pieces that were left on the donation table at her former guild

Deborah J. will shortly be forwarding her stripes quilt to a little boy in Nova Scotia.

Deborah is also gifting her "Garden Blessings" quilt to her sister-in-law. Lucky girl!

Angela W. has four Halloween quilts for four lucky nieces and nephews.  All have glow in the dark fabrics will are sure to delight the kids.

Peggy H.'s House quilt from blocks won at last year's Christmas Party.

Peggy also shared a photo of her granddaughter with new Snake quilt that she sewed herself.  A future member???

Bertha M.'s "Black & Beyond" quilt. Very striking

Lyn F. tested her patience with over 1,100 squares - all 2 1/2". She admitted she couldn't go totally scrappy and settled for a controlled scrappy - beautiful!

Bonnie B. was on a roll this month - first with a scrappy kid's quilt

Bonnie followed with this beautiful "Basket Case". Love the yellow background

And finally, Bonnie's "Crazy Quilt". A great way to use a layer cake

Joanne G shared her very first experience with quilting. She admits she didn't know what she was doing - just cutting and sewing to fit. Many years later she is still determined to finish it - correctly. Thanks, Joanne for sharing your initial inexperience.

Gloria P. recently attended a course put on by Gloria Loughman on colour choices and scenery. Here is her completed piece.
