For the Elm City Quilter's Guild in Fredericton, NB, the October meeting brought us multiple things:
-A presentation of Victoria's Quilts complete with a chance to buy tickets on some stunning quilts
-A brief history of our guild
-Lyn previewed our soon to start "Sew Along" which will give us the opportunity to learn and practice multiple quilting skills.
-A sewing day for Saturday, October 26 - sew your own and the start of the Sew Along
Victoria's Quilts brought three beautiful quilts on which they sold tickets - all part of their fund raiser
This year's Sew Along is starting this month. Members can contact Lyn via email if they wish to join
Bonnie followed with this beautiful "Basket Case". Love the yellow background
And finally, Bonnie's "Crazy Quilt". A great way to use a layer cake
Joanne G shared her very first experience with quilting. She admits she didn't know what she was doing - just cutting and sewing to fit. Many years later she is still determined to finish it - correctly. Thanks, Joanne for sharing your initial inexperience.
Gloria P. recently attended a course put on by Gloria Loughman on colour choices and scenery. Here is her completed piece.
