CHRISTMAS AT THE ELM CITY QUILTERS GUILD IN FREDERICTON, NB
Christmas dinner was fantastic - as it always has been with the Gibson Memorial group at the helm. A wonderful evening that not only included a great dinner but fun games and some beautiful Show & Tell to share. A shout out to our Programs Committee gals for giving us such a festive and enjoyable evening.
Cecile G. brought us two quilts tonight. The first is her log cabin/moose quilt with African print backing. Love how the log cabins surround the moose.
Cecile's second quilt has gone to the hens and will be a gift for a family members who loves them. The backing photo follows.
Marie D. made lots of Christmas runners using us her scraps and pieces of blocks. Love the little pinwheel one that was a byproduct of a larger quilt.
Marie's table topper. She was inspired by a fellow member to give it a go.
June G. is always creating - this one is a cute snowman topper for her daughter
Alison created this beauty as a gift, inspired by a friendship of her sister's. Note the smoke linking the houses.
Dorothy J. made this pink and navy quilt for a young lady who loves those colours. A pink fireside backing makes it extra cozy. She is sure to love it.
Diane B brought us last year's mystery quilt - now completed. It's beautiful!
Bertha is like June - she never stops sewing. This time it's a sweet alphabet quilt that will allow one great grandson to help his younger brother learn his letters.
Bertha also make this pretty tree skirt for her daughter.
Christine B. brought us her favourite Christmas quilt from an Art to Heart book. So cute!
