What a wonderful time of the year!

Dear Members of the Elm City Quilt Guild

I posted a letter to the Fredericton Quilt Guild but didn’t have a mailing address for you so I am sending this via email from this address I found online.

I am writing to you to say thank you, and to express our sincere appreciation for the placemats you made to send to Meals on Wheels clients who are on their own for Christmas dinner.

So many of our clients are housebound without family or friends at Christmas time and these bright and beautiful tokens of the season cannot help but to brighten the day for those who receive them.

Christmas time tends to be busy for most of us and we genuinely appreciate that your members care enough to take the time to sew these festive and unique placements for our clients. The true spirit of Christmas is alive and well in your gesture and they clearly convey a knowledge that there are still people out there who care about others. I know that these colorful, handmade gifts from the heart cannot help but brighten the day of those who receive them.

We genuinely appreciate your efforts on behalf of our clients and your support for Meals on Wheels of Fredericton. Our thanks to each and every one of your members for this very appropriate labour of love.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, our staff and our clients, we wish you all a Merry Christmas, the very best of the season, and a healthy, happy New Year.

Sincerely,

John Carty
Executive Director
